A few words about
What We Do
Our major activities focused on socio-economic development and climate change adaptation issues.
The Women Empowerment Foundation (WEF) started working in 3 upazilas (sub-districts) under Patuakhali district, located in the south-central part of Bangladesh, and gradually expanded its working area to other districts of Barisal division and finally to other districts of Bangladesh.
Currently, WEF is working with the Department of Women Affairs under Ministry of women and Child Affairs and with local government. In future the organization will work with other government departments and development partners to uplift the status of poor women and establish their rights and entitlements.
WEF is gradually expanding its development sectors and geographical working area to cover more disadvantaged poor women, address their needs, and establish their rights.
